May 17, 2019CYBERCRYPT @ WhibOx 2019 workshop, Darmstadt, Germany
In concomitance with the WhibOx Contest, co-organized and hosted by CYBERCRYPT, a two-day workshop will take place in Darmstadt, Germany (same venue as Eurocrypt 2019, the 38th Annual International Conference on the Theory and Applications of Cryptographic Techniques)on May 18 and 19.The purpose of this workshop is to get together the crypto community (academia, industry, government agencies) to share the latest innovations in white-box cryptography (WBC), which has been perceived as “impossible to realize”. With talks on all aspects of the subject (theory, attacks, design techniques) and a hands-on session dedicated to attack tools and demos, the workshop will be an opportunity to advance the field and promote its scientific evolution. Our founder and CEO Andrey Bogdanov has been invited to speak about whitebox cryptography applications in the academia and industries. Get to know more on the event at WhibOx cryptography and obfuscation 2019and visit CHES 2019 – The WhibOx contestpage and the dashboard of the competition.
April 2, 2019CYBERCRYPT hosts the WhibOx contest
CHES 2019 is the Conference on Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems which will be held in Atlanta, USA, August 25-28, 2019.As part of the traditional Capture The Flag (CTF) challenge, the WhibOx contest is a whitebox cryptography competition. Divided in two separate categories, participants can either develop challenges which should resist key extraction against a whitebox attacker or they can break submitted challenges by extracting the hard-coded encryption key.CYBERCRYPT supports the motivation for the WhibOx contest, with the hope that new ideas will arise, with strong positive impact on both scientific research and industrial know-how in the field of whitebox cryptography. This is why we invite everyone to participate, confident that great contributions will augment the success of this initiative. For more information, rules and terms and condition check the CHES 2019 - The WhibOx contest and the dashboard of the competition
March 28, 2019CYBERCRYPT @ Lightweight Crypto Day 2019, Tel Aviv
The Bar-Ilan University is hosting the Lightweight Crypto Day on March 31st, 2019. The day is dedicated to research in lightweight cryptography, with the emphasis on symmetric-key cryptography targeting low-end devices. Our Senior Technology Manager Stefan Kölbl will give a talk presenting GIMLI, a 384-bit permutation designed to achieve high security with high performance across a broad range of platforms, including 64-bit Intel/AMD server CPUs, 64-bit and 32-bit ARM smartphone CPUs, 32-bit ARM microcontrollers, 8-bit AVR microcontrollers, FPGAs, ASICs without side-channel protection, and ASICs with side-channel protection. In addition, Stefan will participate to the regular ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27 meeting on April 8, taking place in Tel Aviv as well.More information can be found on the official Lightweight Crypto Day 2019 page and on the ISO Technical Committee page.
